Ascaso: the village

Ascaso is a small village within the community of Boltaña (Huesca) which was abandoned during the sixties. After decades not inhabited and with many buildings in precarious condition, some houses have started recently to be restored. In total, six houses, barns, a blacksmith and a church perched on the crest of a hill under Mount Nabaín

After decades uninhabited and many buildings in poor condition, has recently begun to rehabilitate some houses. For its location and size, Ascaso in a place of rest, silence and tranquility.

To reach Ascaso is necessary to climb along a forest track about four kilometers of which only the first is paved. The rest is accessible to any type of vehicle.
